Occupational safety and health

Policy

It is an important responsibility of a company to provide an environment in which employees can work safely and comfortably. Based on our Occupational Safety and Health Policy, our Group strives to ensure the safety and promote the health of not only our employees but all those involved in work at our offices and Plant, and to create an environment in which they can work comfortably and with peace of mind.

Promotion system

In our Group, Executive Committee, led by Member of the Board, Executive Officer, President & CEO, discusses company-wide policies and measures for occupational health and safety. Based on this, we formulate specific goals and plans and thoroughly manage safety at the field level. We regularly review our activities, share and discuss measures against occupational accidents and the number of accidents, and report the results to Executive Committee in a timely manner.

Initiatives to achieve zero workplace accidents

In order to achieve zero workplace accidents, we work with all parties involved in operations at our offices and Plant to promote safety activities. Specifically, we conduct regular safety patrols and audits, as well as risk assessments before the operation of facilities exceeding a certain size, and work to evaluate the safety of the work environment and work procedures. By reflecting these results in our safety measures plan and leading to continuous improvements, we have maintained our record of zero serious accidents in fiscal 2023.
In the event of a workplace accident, we prepare a workplace accident report summarizing the circumstances and causes of the accident, as well as measures to prevent recurrence. By sharing this report with all Plant, we aim to spread workplace accident countermeasures across the plant and prevent recurrence.
While continuing our current initiatives, we aim to achieve zero workplace accidents by further increasing our sensitivity to danger and thorough implementation of basic operations.
